Information

-English Bond.
-Flush Joint.
- Semi- Elliptical Arches with keystones are used to define windows.
- Other windows are defined by a series of headers.
-Bull nose edge on the step of the building.
-Uppermost windows have rough relieving arches to accentuate the top of the building.
- Brickwork appears to be weathering over time. Cracks are begining to form in mortar joints and in the bricks itself. Some faults may have been in the bricks originally as mortar joints are used to cover up chipped edges as shown in the image above.
- The texture is quite smooth despite its rough appearances. Bricks appear to be dry pressed bricks.
- Bricks do not play a structural role as it is 6 storeys high.
